August 18, 2013 - Wow 6 months has flown by and I finally have found time to update the website. It has been a busy 6 months. I'm not going to bore you with all the details - just a brief write up and then lots of pictures! Ryan is now 6. He has been doing really well. We're done with feeding therapy, we've found a good seizure medicine where they are pretty much gone. Problem is his labs show he is at a toxic level of the medicine and his plateletts are low so we're working to find the right number to get his labs in line. He finished kindergarten and is going to be heading to 1st grade. He graduated from JumpStart on his birthday and he is done having a caretaker. We've got him a wheelchair that makes transporting him much easier and he got a special needs trike for his birthday that everyone pitched in to get him since they are spendy. Megan is now 3. She is in to Disney Princesses and had a princess birthday party. She has been doing soccer and dance at school and the recital was so cute and funny. Who knew that recitals were so comical? She has been doing a couple rounds of swimming lessons this summer and has done well. She has been having sleepovers at Scott's parents and has really enjoyed them (and we've enjoyed the quiet)! We love her daycare but have decided to move her to Challenger School, which is a private school. They start teaching the kids to read at 3 and she's been asking so we think she will enjoy it even though she is going to miss her friends. A lot of these kids have been together 3 years. Luckily her BFF Bailey is going to Challenger with her. Scott is still plugging along at HP. Wanting to do something different but until we get Ryan in school all day we've needed the extra flexibility his current position provides. My project at work has finally gone live. There were a lot of long days but things are finally starting to stabilize. I really enjoyed it and have a been told the project manager thinks I was one of the MVPs of the project so I'm keeping fingers crossed for a great bonus! We had a little fun at our house where in January we realized our shower in the master bath was leaking and there was mold. Instead of fixing it we decided to redo the bathroom to be more what we wanted. Now we have a nice walk in shower with heated floors. It was a pain in the rear to do and glad it is over. Now we're getting ready to finally go on vacation. I so need a break as I haven't had a vacation since Christmas! Hopefully it won't take me 6 months to update this again! June 14, 2014 - Almost a year it has been. I'm so behind but for now you'll have to live with just the video of Megan's spring dance recital until I have time to update the site. |
